Cowardice asks the question ‘is it safe?’

Expediency asks the question ‘is it politic?’

Vanity asks the questions ‘is it popular?’

But, conscience asks the question, ‘is it right?’

And there comes a time when one must take a

Position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular,

But one must take it ones because ones’

Conscience tells one that it is right.

Reflection: what I think this statement by Dr. Luther King Jr. means or is trying to say is that you are capable of doing anything but first you ask yourself that question. Is it safe?’ expediency ask yourself this question. ‘Is it politic?’ You should always know right from wrong. But still ask yourself if you have to. ‘Is it right?’ everyone makes mistakes you learn from your mistakes no one’s perfect in the world. But ones conscience tells you what’s right and what’s wrong but some people make the wrong choices its okay though. but this statement is trying to say that you should always do what’s right because its for the best. You live a better life and get to live happy. This is what I think about this amazing statement. J
